China is making a massive statement in the world of television! The 26th Asia TV Forum and Market (ATF) in Singapore just kicked off, and China has brought its biggest presence ever, creating a buzz of excitement among buyers and producers from all over the globe.
This year, the China Pavilion is a powerhouse, covering a record-breaking 270 square meters! Imagine the scale! It's packed with 24 participating companies – also a new record. These companies include big names like China International Television Corporation and Shanghai Media Group, along with creative studios such as XiXi Pictures and Huace Film and TV. Plus, there are animation producers, streaming platforms, and industry service firms, making the delegation incredibly diverse.
The pavilion is putting 156 Chinese-language titles on display. We're talking about a wide variety of content: TV series, short-form dramas (micro dramas), films, documentaries, animation, and variety shows. The China Pavilion is also hosting a series of presentations and networking events to foster connections and collaborations.
But here's where it gets interesting: Beyond the main China Pavilion, you'll find even more China-related presence with stands from major players like Bilibili, Tencent Video, and Youku. This shows the commitment and investment China is putting into the global TV market.
The ATF is the place where broadcasters, production companies, and studios come together to trade rights, find financing, and discuss partnerships that cross different platforms. The event runs from December 2nd to 5th. This year's event is also diving into some cutting-edge topics.
